- 1-2 Years automotive maintenance experience or training in an automotive school program at the High School or College level
Here’s What You Will Be Doing As An Apprentice Technician:
- Digital vehicle inspections
- Oil services
- Tire services
- Routine maintenance and repairs
- Basic fluid services
- Complete monthly online classes
- Job shadow and learn from our Lead Technicians (with over 40 years experience!)
- Complete ongoing in-house training
- This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday work week (NO WEEKENDS!)
- The Apprenticeship Program also requires you to study and complete homework that aids in career advancement

Here’s What You Will Be Doing As An Estimator & Service Team Assistant
- Creating estimates of parts and labor for repair and maintenance services
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Becoming knowledgeable with Bob & Sons Automotive’s systems
- Becoming knowledgeable about all servicesBob & Sons Automotive offers
- Flowing between multiple tasks quickly, as needed
- Shuttling customers and picking up/dropping off vehicles
- Transporting specialty parts
- Following established policies
- Satisfactorily completing daily paperwork procedures
For this position, we are looking to add someone to our team that enjoys serving people and thrives in a fast-paced environment. It is imperative that you have a strong knowledge of the Automotive Industry – including vehicles, services and parts. A primary role for this position will be creating estimates of the parts and labor for vehicle repair and maintenance services. You will also be assisting in answering the phones, scheduling appointments, transporting specialty parts, shuttling customers and assisting the Service Team with any additional tasks as needed.
The Estimator & Service Team Assistant Position at Bob & Sons Automotive is a position with room to grow! We value training and growth in all positions at our shop, and we are always looking for opportunities to invest in our team. We do this through regularly scheduled team meetings and with paid training throughout the year.
Two years minimum of professional Automotive Technician experience is required
- ASE Certifications are preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required
- Your own tools are preferred
- Each Automotive Technician must be able to maintain a clean and safe work area
- Must have a positive attitude, a customer service mentality & be a TEAM PLAYER
- Must be able to document and communicate detailed descriptions of diagnostics and repairs
- Must be able to diagnose, maintain and repair multiple vehicle systems; including Engine, Transmission, Electrical, Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Air Conditioning, etc.
